Ajax, Henry, and Barney are the canine trio behind Karin Newstrom Photography. They are always willing to model… for a treat, of course!
Ajax is an adopted Cairn terrier and the alpha dog of the pack. He will play fetch for hours and loves to nap on piles of freshly-washed laundry. His favorite sound in the world is that of a bread knife slicing through a loaf — no matter where he is or what he’s doing, he will drop everything and come running in hopes of a few spare crumbs.
After seeing Henry’s little puppy face appear on a rescue’s Facebook page, I knew he was destined to become Ajax’s little bro. He has an amazing ability to steal (and shake relentlessly) unwatched socks and enjoys quick jogs on the treadmill from time to time. He is the first to wake up each morning and does the most enthusiastic “happy dance” when it’s time to eat. Contrary to popular belief, he is not a Westie but a wheaten-colored Scottish terrier.
Barney joined the pack most recently in the summer of 2012. We first met at a fundraiser when he was just a puppy in 2011. When he had to be rehomed, we reconnected with him and he became one of the family! He loves the sound of his own name and many nicknames (“Boo-Boo” is his favorite) and will wag his entire body at the sound. He is a fierce destroyer of all toys and a skilled player of “chase” with his buddies Ajax and Henry.
