Where to begin? My husband, Jeff, and I recently traveled to Ocho Rios, Jamaica to photograph Ryan and Cathi’s amazing destination wedding at Sandals Grande Riviera. Ryan and Cathi are the sweetest couple and also seriously talented — they are the team behind the graphic and web design company 3200 Creative. I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding and became ecstatic when they revealed moments later that it was a Jamaican destination wedding. 🙂
I’m dividing their wedding day into two parts – the getting ready and the ceremony, portraits, and reception. Check back for part two!
Not a bad way to start your wedding day, huh? The couple began the day with their family and friends, followed by a dip in the Caribbean.
After their morning swim, they split up to get ready on their own and didn’t see each other until the ceremony that afternoon.
Ryan’s mother presented Cathi with antique diaper pins from when Ryan was a baby – so sweet! Crafty Cathi also hand-carved a stamp for favor bags with a design she created herself for the wedding. Ryan’s mother brought her watercolors and I spotted her several times painting in the shade – the painting in the bottom right is a wedding gift. 🙂
The view from the balcony — so lush!
Did I mention Cathi is crafty? She also made the boutonnieres and hairpieces herself.
Meanwhile, Ryan was hanging out with the guys by the beach. Hunky groom!
That’s it, for now. Part two will be up soon!
PS – See the beach above? Later that day, about 3 feet from shore, I was stung by a jellyfish. A wedding to remember! 🙂
I love the photos (especially ) the black & whites! I keep replaying the memories in my mind. I loved getting together for the breakfast buffet, looking out on the sea!
Thank you, Linda! It was a breathtaking location and an amazing day!
Beautiful, beautiful work!!!!! Jealous of your trip… so amazing!
