New baby sister! | Minneapolis Photographer

I have known this sweet family for a number of years (dating back to when I was in high school!), except back then it was just the two of them! Now they are a mommy and daddy who recently expanded their family to four! To celebrate, we had a fun session in the studio. It was so sweet to see how S has grown (and also grown into the role of being a big brother) and meet baby E!

Isn’t she precious?

Big brother S wanted to hold her hand. 🙂

S now has a mouth full of teeth — he was more than willing to show them to me.

It was easy to see how S LOVES being a big brother.

Congratulations again on your new daughter and how your little boy has learned and grown! 🙂

Katerina | Minneapolis Senior Photographer

I had the pleasure of spending a recent winter morning with the lovely Katerina at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. The Walker was a great place to indulge my love of negative space, geometry, and architecture. When I learned Katerina studied ballet and was planning on bringing her pointe shoes, I couldn’t wait to see her in action! She didn’t disappoint and I am in LOVE with the ballet images from her session.

Oh, did I mention Katerina is stunning? I think she looks like a young Julianne Moore with her beautiful red hair.

Scotty + Jenny | Minneapolis Musician Photographer

Scotty and Jenny are two classically-trained musicians and a duo! Jenny plays flute and piccolo and Scotty plays all kinds of percussion. Together, they perform recitals and concerts with a wide range of repertoire and have an upcoming tour around Minnesota. I have played in both large and chamber ensembles with both of them at the University of Minnesota, so it was fun to collaborate in a visual capacity.

Since they play a lot of modern music, we thought the Walker Art Center would be an apt place for us to create some new publicity images. They showed up in the traditional concert black, but also brought a change of clothes to let their true colors show.

If you are interested in checking them out (and I highly recommend it), their next gig is Sunday, February 13th at 8:00 pm at Ferguson Hall on the University of Minnesota West Bank campus. According to Scotty, the only admission charge is “an open ear, mind, and soul.”
