Patsy & Pickles | Minneapolis Cat Photographer

I recently had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful pair of tabby kitties – Patsy and Pickles!  First up: Mr. Pickles.

(His human mom holds him up to peak out the backdoor window – one of his favorite things to do.)

And this is Patsy, Pickles’ feline mom.  Patsy and Pickles were adopted as a pair and were such a joy to photograph!

We had some good playtime!

On a side note, their mom was worried about the house being too dark.  Thanks to the wonder of prime lenses, high ISOs, and knowing how to keep the kitties in the good light, the darkness was no match for us!

Patsy’s favorite hangout is the bathroom, because the floor is nice and toasty in there.

Pickles was just as content to lounge about on the rug.

Such good kitties!  Thank you for an awesome session and I hope your mom enjoys her preview!

Ali | Twin Cities Senior Photographer

I met with Ali and her mother last week for a fun senior session around Mears Park in Lowertown, St. Paul.  Ali is a senior this year at Woodbury High School and is so sweet, easy-going, and was willing to do anything for a good picture (my kind of gal!).  Her combination of beautiful red hair, stunning eyes, and sparkling personality made for some awesome images. :)

Something Ali and I have in common: we get cold easily.  It was a bit chilly for her session, but she was willing to brave the cold (I, however, wore a coat the entire time).

It was a pleasure meeting you, Ali — good luck with the rest of your senior year!!

Kayla | Twin Cities Senior Photographer

Kayla is just finishing up her junior year in high school in Monticello and we decided to get her senior pictures done early!  We were able to dodge the rain and met at beautiful Weaver Lake Park in Maple Grove.  It was a great choice with several distinct locations within a close range of each other.

One of the first things I asked Kayla was if she watches “America’s Next Top Model” — I could tell because she totally smiles with her eyes (or “smizes” for short). :)

Kayla has gorgeous lashes and freckles and a personality to match.

It was at this point that Kayla went to change outfits and accidentally locked her keys in the car (oops).  No worries, though — apparently the Maple Grove Police unlocks cars for free!  We continued with her session and waited for them to show up and save the day.

Of all the different locations, I think the woods was my favorite — her blue eyes really popped with the rich green background.

Kayla’s mom, Kim, used to be one of my very favorite coworkers at a previous job (now she’s just one of my very favorite people since I no longer work with her).  I’m happy she was willing to be in some photos with Kayla.  It is not hard to see where Kayla gets her beautiful personality, spirit, and looks from!

For the previous shot, I scaled a lifeguard chair so I could be on the same level as Kayla and Kim.  After the shot, I found myself somewhat stuck up there with my camera.  Kim came to my rescue and was kind enough to snap a photo before I got down. :)

We wrapped up Kayla’s session by the water — a beautiful way to end.  Congratulations on finishing up your junior year, Kayla — I hope you have a fun summer and a great senior year!
