Little Miss Juliet recently had the first part of her Then-and-Now sessions – she is just 3 months old now and we get to have another session when she’s bigger! She was recently adopted from Secondhand Hounds… by her own foster mom! Juliet is the sweetest puppy with the loveliest, most expressive eyes – I just couldn’t get enough of her!
She’s got the soulful puppy eyes down!

Meet Hoss! He’s a 12-week-old Golden Retriever puppy who is 100% absolutely adorable. He’s a playful, smiling fluffball and stole my heart the minute I met him. Look at that puppy grin (complete with tiny puppy teeth!):
And Hoss’ feline siblings – they are older and wiser and are still working on teaching Hoss what his role is in the house. 🙂 Lenny, Stevie, and Zuma:

Can you be any cuter?
The day of the session was quite warm — fuzzy Hoss was pretty tired by the end. I’m guessing he slept very well that night! 🙂 Good boy!
I recently met up with Surlii, a Dogo Argentino puppy, and older sister Cami, a sweet Pittie, in Minneapolis for a photoshoot featuring long grass and the beginning of fall colors. Surlii is a funny, clumsy, and playful puppy… but quite big at 85 pounds as an 8-month-old! Her mom has big plans for her to become a skijoring dog when she grows up!
Cami is the older, wiser sister — at 8 years old she is graying a bit around her muzzle and definitely follows instructions better… but still knows how to have fun!
Hey, Surlii — if skijoring doesn’t work out for you, I strongly recommend looking into modeling!
Have you ever seen a Pitbull point? Me neither!
And what shoot isn’t complete with an image or two with mom? Jackie and I are planning an upcoming shoot of Surlii and Cami’s big, BIG sister (of the equine variety). I can’t wait!
Henry, our newly-adopted Scottish terrier, had his first bath with us on Friday (followed by two more on Saturday, but that’s another story). One of my most vivid memories of my childhood dog, Sandy, as a puppy was watching my mom and neighbor give him his first bath in the kitchen sink. With that in mind, I made sure to have my camera nearby so I could create these images while he’s still small enough to fit in the sink. 🙂
Before: No water… sitting in the sink is just fine.
Hmmm… what’s over there?
After: Cold, wet, and the sink is no longer an enjoyable place to hangout. But boy, do his ears look big!
It turns out Ajax isn’t the only scruffy terrier to get the post-bath crazies:
