Jenny & Jordan were engaged just this past spring and had a wonderful July wedding! I was so thrilled to be asked to photograph their wedding, since I share a musical background with both of them — Jenny is a music therapist and Jordan plays trumpet and piano (and probably more I don’t know about!) in addition to being a software engineer. They are incredibly smart, talented, and sweet which made for an awesome day. I was also lucky to have the talented Katie of Kage Imagery shooting with me — we made a great team!
The ceremony took place at Bethlehem Baptist Church in downtown Minneapolis. Jenny’s reaction to seeing herself as a bride is so sweet — I love her mother, the grandmothers, and new sister-in-law in the background!
A tender pre-ceremony moment by Katie:
Even walking down the aisle, the tears were unstoppable — the ceremony was so emotional!
One of my favorite parts of the day — the music! There were so many talented musicians who performed during the ceremony and also at the reception, including Jenny’s brother on marimba.
The same moment from two angles — Katie’s (above) and mine (below left). The officiant said, “Jordan, will you recite your vows?” and Jordan replied, “I WILL!” 🙂
My new pal (and future competition) Eli:
SO happy to be married!
After the ceremony, we headed to the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center for a lunch reception. It was super sunny out, but we didn’t let that stop us!
I stuck with the gents and Katie photographed the ladies.
Bridesmaid Emily also made all the beautiful jewelry for the ladies!
Jenny is absolutely beautiful! (Jordan, you are super handsome, too!)
While I was taking the above shot, Katie was to the side taking the one below. We didn’t have too much time for portraits, but we were efficient!
My favorite! I adore veils.
Back inside, there was an awesome jazz trio performing.
Delicious cake by Buttercream. Jenny, you are adorable!
When the glasses clinked, these two kissed like they meant it!
An array of reactions from the bridesmaids:
Congratulations again to Jenny and Jordan!
PS – Please enlarge and hang this last photo somewhere in your new home, together! I love it and hope you do, too. 🙂
